Ranked Battles for Pokémon Sword and Shield have been up since the launch of the games on November 15th! Ranked Battles are a great way to test your skills with those around the world. There are major rewards for competing in the season wraps up at the end of the year.

Time Period:

• November 15th 2019 – December 31 2020

Battle Format:

• Double Battles
• Four of the Pokémon on your team will compete in each match
• All Pokémon will automatically become level 50 for the duration of the match
• No two Pokémon may hold the same item

Eligible Pokémon:

• Pokémon found in the Galar Dex
• No Legendary or Mythical Pokémon
• Gigantamax Pokémon may not be used
• No two Pokémon on your team may have the same Pokédex number

In Game Timers:

• Match Length: 10 minutes
• Team Preview: 90 seconds
• Turn Time: 60 seconds

Rewards:

• Master Ball Tier – 3 Golden Bottle Caps and 600 Battle Points
• Ultra Ball Tier – 1 Golden Bottle Cap and 300 Battle Points
• Great Ball Tier – 3 Bottle Caps, 1 Ability Capsule, 1 Jolly Mint, 1 Timid Mint and 100 Battle Points
• Pokeball Tier – 1 Ability Capsule, 1 Jolly Mint, 1 Timid Mint and 50 Battle Points
• Beginner Tier – 1 Ability Capsule, 1 Jolly Mint, 1 Timid Mint and 50 Battle Points
