Sure, let's have some fun with this!

    Group A:
    (1) Japan ; (2) US West ; (3) Rest EU ; (4) North Latam

Certainly a group where I feel that Japan and US West should be favoured to progress to the knock-out stages based upon the strength and depth of the team, though the Rest of Europe squad is definitely a contender to upset the apple cart. The first place in this group will likely be decided on which out of Japan or US West wins their tie, which will be a repeat of their group stage and knock-out play-off clashes from last year. If North Latam are competitive with the other three teams I think that will be a success; while they have some very accomplished and capable players, I think the depth of the other three squads is notably higher, but I would love to be proven wrong.

    Group B:
    (1) Germany ; (2) Plate Latam ; (3) South-East Asia ; (4) US Central

A group where all four teams I feel could make the knock-out rounds and definitely one that will be tightly contested. Each squad has a number of individual players that can easily make the difference in sets and we should be poised for some explosive games between many big names. My gut feeling however is that I think Germany and Plate Latam will progress here.

    Group C:
    (1) Italy ; (2) Australia ; (3) US East ; (4) Latam Andes

This group is insanely competitive but in my mind it's a three-horse race for two qualifying spots. Italy look strong and Australia are definitely in the ascendancy and are a highly competitive squad of players. US East also has a very scary roster of players, more than capable of muscling into the knock-out stages here. The early results could swing qualification into each of these teams' hands, so early results will be important to see who grabs initiative.

    Group D:
    (1) United Kingdom ; (2) Spain ; (3) Canada ; (4) East Asia

Not taking anything for granted with the draw as each team has a capable squad to call upon. Will be some great matches to come from this group and I look forward to getting into the mix!
